The City of Sacramento received a grant to design an ADA accessible trail on the south side of the American River within Sutter's Landing Regional Park. In addition to the ADA compliant trail, the project also includes river and non-motorized boat launch access, development of a restoration plan for some habitat that has been degraded by social trails, and development of interpretive signage for the new trailhead.
To obtain community input as part of the design process, the City recently conducted an online survey asking for feedback about trail alignments being considered. A total of 180 responses were submitted, and a summary of results is available below.
Additional project information can be found on the Two Rivers Trail Webpage.
The City of Sacramento held a second Community Open House on December 12, 2024, to gather input from neighbors and partners of Sutter’s Landing Regional Park. The feedback received during this meeting will help inform the development of the City's Site Plan Update and Guidebook for the future development of the site. Updated concepts for the Site Plan were shared, along with updates on the Two Rivers Trail Phase 3 and ADA River Access Trail projects. Attendees provided valuable comments on the community-driven design for Sutter's Landing Site Plan and helped validate the project vision for future improvements.
For any additional questions, please contact Dana Repan, Senior Planner, at DRepan@cityofsacramento.org.
The results are in! The Department of Youth, Parks, and & Community Enrichment received over 800 responses to the community survey. With community input, YPCE will begin the drafting of the concept site plan for the park and a guidebook to help inform how to develop the park’s amenities. We will reach out again to the public with the draft plan for more feedback.
Please stay tuned! If you want to be included on the project’s mailing list, please email Dana Repan at drepan@cityofsacramento.org.
