  • Junk pickup, picking up trash and putting it in dumpster
    All residential customers can schedule two appointments for free pickup of acceptable bulky items

    Sacramento residents can make an appointment for household junk pickup to dispose of items too large to fit in the curbside container. Appointments are available February through October. To request an appointment, customers can submit a Service Request online through 311, Use the Sac 311 App for iPhone or Android or call 3-1-1 or (916) 264-5011.

    Take a shelter dog on a field trip with the Doggie Day Out program

    Community members can take dogs on walks, to dog-friendly restaurants and breweries, to pet stores for treats, and more. The shelter provides all necessary supplies, including a leash and other accessories for the dog that say, “Adopt me.”
