Pavement maintenance and preservation provides maximum benefit to the traveling public by enhancing safety and driving conditions as well as improving ride comfort and aesthetics of the roadway. Available funds are efficiently utilized in a variety of road resurfacing techniques. Each year, one-fourth of the city streets are examined on a rotational basis to update the Pavement Management Application (PMA) for determining the right treatment on the right street, at the right time. The City uses this information to update the multi-year resurfacing plan to keep the existing road infrastructure operating at a satisfactory level of service. Information about which streets are included in the resurfacing program is shown on the multi-year resurfacing plan.
