Climate Friendly Buildings

Buildings contribute 37% of the City’s greenhouse gas emissions, making them one of the largest sources of pollution. Decarbonizing our buildings is essential for meeting our climate goals and creating a more sustainable, resilient future for Sacramento. All-electric construction and electric retrofits are cost effective in Sacramento, and support improved indoor air quality, enhanced building comfort, and lower energy costs.
