The Neighborhood Development Action Team (“NDAT”) is announcing a Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”) for North Sacramento to catalyze the Forward Together Action Plan (“Action Plan”) and build momentum toward accomplishing the goals, strategies, and actions within it. The Forward Together Pilot Grant Program (“Pilot Grant”) is seeking proposals that address the needs identified in the plan.

The Pilot Grant features two grant types (described below), and each grant type asks the applicant to propose actions that align with the Action Plan. Proposals must include clear timelines, budget and actions that benefit the people and businesses within the Action Plan study area. The total amount of funding available is $700,000.

  1. The Collaborative Impact Grant – $500,000 is dedicated to this grant type and up to four grants are anticipated to be awarded.

This grant is for organizations and businesses to collaborate on a single proposal that will achieve multiple actions listed in the Action Plan. Eligible applications are from nonprofits, community-based organizations, business and property owners, faith-based institutions, and other organizational stakeholders. The intention is to build capacity and partner together to achieve outcomes aligned with the goals, strategies, and actions in the Action Plan.

    This grant opportunity is closed.

  2. The Action Grant – $200,000 is dedicated to this grant type and up to 30 grants are anticipated to be awarded.

This grant is intended to fund projects that deliver tangible results and impact within 12 months or less. In this grant type, the project proposal should convey strong feasibility, project management, and clearly measure outputs, outcomes, and defined impact. The Action Grant is for organizations, businesses, individuals, artists, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and more to apply – either on their own, or in partnership – to address a goal, strategy, or action in the Forward Together Action Plan.

    This grant opportunity is closed.

Please review the NOFA before proceeding to the application.
