Peer Mentors are a group of students from previous Summer at City Hall graduates that are selected to return the following year to be role models and mentors to the new and current students. As a Peer Mentor they can be youth leaders and work side by side with the Summer @ City Hall staff in planning, preparation, and classroom assistance. Also, as part of their duties they support student attendance, leading activities, assisting teachers, S@CH staff & students, updating social media. Peer Mentors take part in a series of training the months prior to the start of the program, which includes introduction to youth development, that provides tools to support and guide them during the summer program. All the S@CH graduated students can apply to become a Peer Mentor.
