Camp Sacramento

Cabin in the woods open_in_full

Camp Sacramento nestled in Eldorado Nation Forest just 17 miles from South Lake Tahoe has been a cherished place for generations of Sacramento Valley residents. From its inception over 100 years ago, Camp Sacramento’s historic “return to nature” focus has offered a unique family getaway experience for participants of all ages to reflect, reconnect, and refresh. What started as an effort to reintroduce and reintegrate the urban population back into the natural environment, continued through the decades of camp service to unplug, celebrate the natural environment, and enjoy the fellowship and comradery of a camp community. Today, our programs not only offer fun and engaging one-of-a-kind family getaways to unwind, but also allow for intentional environmental education and stewardship opportunities.

2025 Camp Theme

2025 Theme information: Coming Soon!

What does this mean for Campers?

The theme is just an extra way for Campers to come together and show Camp Sac spirit. Decorate your cabin with theme-based decorations for the decorating contest, wear theme-based pajamas to the Pajama-Rama breakfast, and dress up in costume for some added fun at the Camp Sac Dance. Some activities, like the Dutch Auction, might also have objects related to the theme, and our music choices at certain events might also be influenced. The most important part: Have fun with it!
