Individual park construction

Airport Little League
This is an existing 9.7-acre ball field park, project is located 6395 Hogan Drive. The project construction starting fall 2023 and completed in winter 2024. Improvements consist of renovation of the existing Hernandez softball/ t-ball field. The field will receive new irrigation, concrete paving, rehabilitation of the backstop, new gates, baseball equipment and new turf. Camellia Park Irrigation Renovation
The project will consist of installing a booster pump and central irrigation controller and renovate the existing park irrigation system. Construction will begin in summer 2024 and be complete in fall 2024. Project manager: Dennis Day at DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Chorley Park Playground Renovations
The project will consist of removing the existing playground equipment and replacing it with a nature themed children’s playground equipment, swings and independent play items, tree planting, rules signage and restriping the accessible parking spaces. Danny Nunn Playground
This is an existing 12.44-acre park, located 6920 Power Inn Road. The project construction June 2024 and completed by the end of August 2024. Improvements consist of renovation of removal of the existing adventure playground (for kids 5-12 years old) equipment, installation of a new playground with play structure, net spinner and swings and new accessible ramp for the playground. East Portal Park Restroom Renovation
East Portal Park Restroom Renovation The project consists of replacing restroom fixtures and interior and exterior lighting, doors with magnetic locks, skylights to add natural lighting, and painting the interior and exterior of the restroom, and sealing the floors. The project also includes replacing the existing walkway with accessible wider walkways. The restrooms renovation is complete, except for required electrical upgrades, which are delaying opening the restroom until late July 2024. Project manager: Dennis Day at DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Granite Regional Park Playground
The project includes an accessible children’s playground with swings and independent play items, a shade canopy over the play structure, a small group picnic area, benches, trash receptacles, and shade trees. Mama Marks Park Splash Pad
This is an existing 4.16 acre neighborhood park, located at 1140 Roanoke Avenue. The project construction starting winter 2024 and completed summer 2024. The improvements consist of removal of the existing wading pool and installation of a new splash pad, concrete paving and fencing improvements. Project Manager: Jeff Nittka

Matsui Waterfront Park-Hanami Line
This is a 1.98-acre waterfront park, located adjacent to MOSAC and the Sacramento River.. The park features blue paver walkway pointing toward Sacramento’s sister city, Matsuyama. There are two colors of decomposed granite paving, night lighting, various seating options, shade shelters, Japanese-inspire parasol umbrellas, and over one hundred ‘Pink Flair’ cherry trees underplanted with turf, low maintenance landscaping with boulders, and cobble swale, custom park signs, a donor wall, and one-of-a-kind tree sculpture. The park is designed for large school groups, community events and family gatherings throughout the changing seasons. The park will reopen June 21, 2024. Oakbrook Park Community Garden
The improvements will consist of concrete flatwork, curbs, mow strips, decomposed granite paving, chain link fencing and gates, raised planter beds, a hose bib irrigation system, fruit trees, a 10’x 12’ storage shed for garden tools, two picnic tables, a concrete seat wall, and a message board. Construction will begin in summer 2024 and be complete in fall 2024. Project manager: Dennis Day at DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Ray Eames Park/Crocker Village Detension Landscaping
The 6.5-acre park at Crocker Village is a joint-use detention basin and neighborhood park. It is being developed as a turn-key project by the Developer. The park is expected to be completed and open in summer 2024. The park features an adventure playground with an adjacent turf area for free play, a small group picnic area with a shade structure, three tables with a BBQ grill, a seat wall, concrete walkways, large canopy shade trees, site furnishings, a drinking fountain, and a park sign. The detention basin covers a 3-acre open space turf area for field play. The park will open in summer 2024. Project manager: Dennis Day at DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Renfree Field Renovations at Del Paso Regional Park

The project involves replacing the current baseball field with a youth 375’ baseball field, a practice baseball field, and an overlaid soccer field. Half of the existing parking lot on Bridge Rd. will be renovated with asphalt paving, striping, concrete curbs, drainage, irrigation, shade trees, and lighting. Other planned improvements include regrading and native seeding on the west side of Bridge Rd., post and cable fencing, a basketball court, four pickleball courts, an entry/drop-off area, accessible walkways, drainage, storm-water swales and basin, irrigation and well improvements, a new electrical service, low water use native landscaping and large shade trees, a park name sign, rules signs, bleachers, and park benches. The construction is set to start in summer 2024 and is expected to be reopened ins spring 2025. Project manager: Dennis Day at DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Robertson Park
This is an existing 9.18 acre community park, located at 3525 Norwood Avenue. This project begins in Fall 2023 and will be completed at the end of July 2024. The project includes demolition of the existing restroom and installation of a new three stall restroom and new concrete walkways. Project Manger: Jeff Nittka jnittka@cityofsacramento.org

Robertson Park Futsal Court Lighting Project
This is an existing 9.7-acre park located at 3525 Norwood Avenue. This park currently has 4 unlit futsal courts. The project includes installation of a new electrical service and electrical connections for the existing futsal courts and court lighting. This project is funded through a grant the City awarded to Mutual Assistance Network. The project is anticipated to begin construction in Summer 2024 and will be completed in December 2024. Vine Park
This is a 1.16 acre neighborhood park located at 640 Vine Street within the Township 9 community. Construction to begin in Fall 2023 and be completed in Fall 2024 The improvements for the three separate areas (two dog parks and one park site) will consist of grading, drainage, irrigation, landscaping, concrete paving, lighting, signage, fencing, site furnishings, play equipment, and dog agility equipment. Westshore Park
This is a 5.32-acre neighborhood park located at 3822 Lake Katie Way. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2024 and is expected to be completed by winter 2024 The park amenities include concrete walkways, site furnishings, playground, shade structure with game tables, tennis court, group fitness area, basketball half court, landscaping and irrigation. Wood Park Community Garden
Wood Park is an existing 5.58-acre neighborhood park located at 6755 Bodine Circle. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2024 and is expected to be completed by fall 2024. The improvements include a community garden, concrete walkways, site furnishings, raised planters, garden beds, compost bins, storage shed, fencing and gates.
