Adult Swim Safe Scholarship

The Adult Swim Safe Scholarship offers scholarships for Adult Learn to Swim lesson programs for aged 25 years old, in households demonstrating financial need. Applicants who qualify receive a scholarship for the current calendar year toward registration fees for eligible City of Sacramento swim lessons.

This scholarship covers fees for swim lessons for Adults 25 years old.

How to Qualify

  1. Create or verify you have an active City of Sacramento ActiveNet account.
  2. Complete the application on the following pages or online at http://www.cityofsacramento.gov/swimsafe.
  3. Attach or upload required documentation to determine scholarship eligibility: Submit a current Notice of Action Letter verifying the household’s or applicant’s enrollment in one of the following programs: WIC, CalFresh, CalWORKS, TANF, or MediCal.
  4. Submit your completed application and documentation online or send your completed application with documentation to swimsafe@cityofsacramento.org.
  5. Within 10 business days, a staff member will notify you of your Adult Swim Safe Scholarship status and how to register for eligible swim lessons.

Allow up to 10 business days for application processing. Applications must be approved and processed, and applicants must be registered for the eligible program, prior to beginning the activity.

Application approval does not guarantee registration in a program. Eligibility for scholarships must be established every year by meeting eligibility and verification requirements.
