Access Leisure Youth & Teens

Our goal is to provide safe, fun and inclusive community programs, social programs and inclusion support for youth and teens with disabilities. A variety of youth and teen programming occurs year round from Teen Program, Camps, Community outings and so much more! Below is information on current programs, upcoming activities/events and how to register for those activities.

Be sure to check out Inclusive Playdates at Southside Park! Inclusive Playdates are available for youth of all abilities.

Access Leisure Open House

Spend 3 hours of Free Fun with Access Leisure at Our Open House! Come try some adaptive sports! Join us for our social activity BINGO! AND get your creativity on with our arts and crafts activity! Light refreshments and snacks will be served! Get some swag on your way out!

The Hangout

Join us for our after-school social recreation program developed for teens with disabilities (ages 13 - 22)! The Hangout is a program where teens create connections with peers and community, learn personal and life skills/goals, practice positive interactions, create and have fun! A range of activities are to be experienced such as games, art, body movement, positive mental health habits, movie nights etc.

Date and Time: Every Tuesday and Thursday starting January 14th - June 5th 2025

Make it Monday

Get those creative juices flowing! Make it Monday is a creativity-based program for youth with disabilities ages 5 - 12 to explore and express themselves with peers. Participants will get their brains going and hands moving with arts/crafts, STEAM activities, team building activities, food creation and more!

Fun Fit Friday

Get your fitness on! Fun Fit Friday is a body movement program for youth and teens with disabilities ages 6 - 22 to increase their strength, balance, coordination, and overall wellness. Along with moving their bodies, participants will play cooperative games with their peers to get heart rates pumping!

Teen Day Out (TDO)

TDO is an opportunity for teens with disabilities to be out in the community and explore all that the city has to offer safely with peers. We will explore a variety of activities such as the movies, dinner, bowling, laser tag, the zoo, Music in the Park etc. Teens can work on social skills, money management, making friends and so much more! Age range for the program is 13 - 22.

Need Financial Assistance?

Access Leisure has created a scholarship program, THE ACCESS LEISURE FUN PASS! The application is easy to fill out and the process time is short. As a reminder, if you received a fun pass for the 2024 calendar year, any remaining funds would not roll over. You would need to submit a NEW FORM for 2025.
