The Department of Utilities offers rebates for inside and outside the home or business to help customers save water and money.

• Grass Conversions  - Up to $3,000 to convert grass to drought-tolerant landscapes
• Irrigation Upgrades  - Up to $800 to upgrade irrigation systems
• Rain Barrels  - Up to $150 for rain barrels
  
• Laundry-to-Landscape  - Up to $100 toward laundry-to-landscape systems

Indoor rebates

• Toilet Upgrades  - Up to $125 toward a high-efficiency toilet
• Washing Machine Upgrades  - Up to $125 toward a high-efficiency washing machine
• Faucets and Fixtures  - Save dozens with instant rebates from the SMUD Energy Store

Leak repairs

• Leak repair rebate  - Up to $500
