Citation Services

Standard Payment Plan

Standard payment plans are available for registered owners who do not qualify for an Indigent Person Payment plan and who accrue more than $100 in citation fees. 

Registered owners with immobilization devices (boots) on their vehicles may qualify for a payment plan to release the device.

Failure to pay a parking citation may result in a hold on the vehicle's DMV registration for any upcoming registration renewal date. 

Program details

  • $25 processing fee is required at the time of application
  • All outstanding  with a combined total exceeding $100 will be places on the payment plan at the time of application. 
  • Maximum of one payment plan may be active at any time. New payment plans may only be processed with the payoff of an existing plan. A $25 processing fee will apply to the new plan. 
  • Payment plans must be paid off within 12 months with a minimum of $30/month
  • Late fees and penalties are not waived under the standard payment plan
  • State Surcharge of $12.50 per citation cannot be waived
  • Payments due by the 1st of the month and no later than the 15th to avoid default

A confirmation email with your appointment information will be sent to the email address provided. Prior to your scheduled appointment, a representative will contact you with detailed information and instructions to prepare you for your visit.

Please ensure the correct email address is entered. Check spam or junk email folders to ensure receipt of all communications. The sender will appear as, "City of Sacramento, Revenue Division".
