He is proud of the opportunities he’s had to help people whom he did not know, at a time when they needed help and he was there for them. This profession is about helping those who need it, and every time he can be involved and make a difference, it is a morale jump-start and reminds him of exactly why he chose to work at SPD. He loves this community and loves the fact that he can impact so many who need and deserve it most.
Jason was drawn to SPD by the recruiting that was done back when he started. The takeaway for him was the opportunity to help others. The year before he was hired, Sacramento flooded, and he was at home and wanted to do anything possible to be more involved in the community and help those who were being negatively impacted. This profession has given him countless opportunities to help and give back.
