Biography of Councilmember Pluckebaum

Phil Pluckebaum is a dedicated public servant with a deep commitment to improving the lives of residents in the City of Sacramento. Phil believes that service to the community is vital to help solve the problems of our neighborhoods. A native Californian, Phil has lived in the City of Sacramento for more than 20 years. In March 2024, he was elected to the Sacramento City Council and will begin representing district 4 in December of 2024.

Phil served as an appointee to the Sacramento Planning and Design Commission working to shape Sacramento’s growth to benefit residents and businesses. He also served on the board of the River Park Neighborhood Association as an advocate for safety, protecting the American River, and public amenities. Phil is married to his best friend Toni for more than 20 years and has two children who are now adults. In his spare time, Phil enjoys riding his bike along the American River trail and exploring the many fantastic local eateries around Sacramento.
