Applies to projects which will impact the City’s Combined Sewer System. Fees are calculated by the Utilities Department based on proposed ESD (equivalent single dwelling units) load – credits given for existing status. Either Combined Sewer Development fee or sewer development fees are charged not both.
Charged if the project value is $250,000 or more or has a scope of work covered by the California Green Building Code.
Due if the project falls in the Downtown, Railyards or River District areas.

Charged on new site development by acreage. This fee is calculated, assessed and invoiced by Utilities Department staff on commercial projects.
If the permit is being issued for a parcel located in the area defined as the Habitat Conservation Fee for North Natomas Areas then the HCP Administrator must be consulted to determine whether or not HCP Fees are due.

Charged on new residential units as established in the Mixed Income Housing ordinance (City Code 17.712)

Charged anytime the Community Development Department (CDD) Charges the HTF fee for permit applications prior to 4/15/2017.
This fee may be due if the project is located within the Jacinto Creek area. Calculation, assessing and invoicing of this fee is the responsibility of the Department of Public Works per city code section 18.28.100.

This fee is calculated by Public Works Staff in the Development Engineering section. The fee is a function of the number of plan review hours expended reviewing the project.
Charged based on the number of bedrooms per unit (1, 2, or 3 bedrooms). This fee would be charged for commercial occupancies such as apartments, and condos.
Applies to projects which require a new sewer tap or increase the size of an existing tap. Fees are calculated by Utilities Department based on proposed ESD (equivalent single dwelling units) load credits may be given for existing status. Either Combined Sewer Development fee or sewer development fees are charged not both.
Assessed on all projects which create new Damageable square footage and exist within the designated SAFCA-DIF area.

May be due depending on the use history for the parcel combined with the proposed use. This fee is calculated, assessed and invoiced by Utilities Department staff of commercial projects.

This fee may be assessed as needed by the Utilities Department staff, or the Fire Department staff. It can be needed for several reasons. In all cases the Utilities Department staff is responsible for assessment and invoicing.
Due if the project falls within the 65th St area. This fee is assessed by Public Works.
