Fostering a Cat

Image of a kitten open_in_full

From newborn bottle babies to mama cats and their kittens to adult cats that need a little extra tender-loving care, you make it possible for us to provide the very best care possible for all of our shelter pets. Fostering can be messy, rewarding, stinky, adorable, and sometimes heartbreaking. We certainly couldn't do it without valuable foster homes like yours! From all of our cats and kittens, you are the cat's meow!

IMPORTANT! You must be at least 18 years old to become a foster.

Become a cat foster parent

Here are the 3 steps to becoming a cat foster parent for the Front Street Animal Shelter:

Step 1

Take the online cat foster class (takes 45-60 minutes) for everything you need to know about fostering.

Step 2

Make it official by filling out our quick volunteer application after completing Step 1 first.

Step 3

We'll ask what sorts of kittens you're interested in and notify you when a litter is available!
