On Sunday, February 23, a large group will be participating in Doggie Day Out. We anticipate about 20 dogs leaving the shelter in the morning to go on their adventures, and they will not return until after 3:00 pm. While these dogs will still be listed on the website as being available at the shelter, please know that they will not be physically at the shelter for most of the day.
Visit the shelter or view the animals online to find one you'd like to meet.
Join our electronic waitlist using your phone and follow the instructions on signs in front of and throughout the shelter.
Waitlist opens at 11:30 am and you must be at the shelter to join.
Customers will be helped in the order they join the waitlist. If you need assistance adding yourself to the waitlist, ask our front desk staff for help.
We recommend having more than one animal you're interested in meeting, in case your first choice is adopted by someone ahead of you in line.
We are not able to facilitate meetings between owned dogs and adoptable dogs at this time. We can, however, make recommendations and give instructions for good introductions.
Many of our adoptable animals are in foster care. Click on their photo to apply and be connected with their foster family!
What's included in the adoption
* Adult dogs and puppies in high demand may have higher adoption fees. Charging higher fees for those in high demand helps fund animals with special needs and allows us to offer lower fees for animals who struggle to get adopted. An adoption counselor will let you know if a special adoption fee applies.
