The Office of Arts and Culture mounts exhibitions at the Robert T. Matsui Gallery at Sacramento City Hall. The ongoing series of free public exhibitions showcase the artistic and cultural resources of the region.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This gallery is wheelchair accessible.

Title: Bat HabiTAT

Dates: September 20 – December 13, 2024

Opening reception: September 20, 11:30am – 1:00pm

About: Bat HabiTAT is an exhibition featuring 10 tattoo artists and 1 origami artist in Northern California. Each artist has created a piece inspired by their observations of live bats at the Yolo Basin Foundation, resulting in a diverse array of interpretations. This exhibition was conceived by curator Bridgett Rex with the dual objective of raising awareness of the significance of bats in our ecosystems and showcasing the remarkable talent of our own local art ecosystem.
