Recognized Employee Organizations

Recognized Employee Organizations (REOs) (commonly referred to as unions and/or associations) represent 86% of City of Sacramento employees. There are a total of nine (9) REOs that represent about 4,800 employees in the City. The REOs negotiate labor agreements for employees, represent employees in the discipline or grievance processes, and help employees with general labor contract questions.
